 From our Pastors
Fletcher Church offers a joyful interlude in the midst of a frenzied and crazy world. We try to offer a safe place for people to find a relationship with Jesus, openness with themselves and friendship with others. Since Jesus said we must come to the kingdom like a child, (Luke 18:17) we encourage youth to take part in worship and we provide a special time in worship for small children. Our church has a very active Pathfinder Club, which is like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and an Adventurer Club for those younger. We seek to provide an atmosphere in joy that fosters spiritual growth in Christ and Christian relationships. The Fletcher community offers a wide range of activities and facilities for all. For example, Captain Gilmer, an elementary school and Fletcher Academy, a secondary school for the Christian education of our young people, Fletcher Park Inn, a retirement facility and Beystone, a convalescent home and the Academy Press for printing needs. Park Ridge Hospital sits a block from the church and Fletcher Valley Natural Foods, a health food store. Also right next door is the Lelia Patterson Center, a community physical fitness, health and life style center which completes our beautiful community nestled in the peaceful Blue Ridge mountains. Together we hope to bring people into a relationship with Christ that is eternal, live a life that is healthful, helpful and holy in the world as we uplift Him and look forward to His soon return.
